Calculator Sites

BETA

A whole site of calculators from one keyword: every calculator people really search for around it, each built from a formula in code, linked into a site you can publish.

18 min read25 stepsUpdated October 17, 2026

Before you start

  • One keyword or topicOne keyword or topic, like "concrete calculator", or one picked from our calculator keyword database. It works for building and home projects, loans and savings maths, unit conversions, and money, legal and health topics with a disclaimer.
  • A site name and a buttonOptional: a site name, and a button for every page (text and link, for example your quote page).
  • Somewhere to publishTo publish: a WordPress site, ideally with the free Aha Studio Connector plugin, a free Netlify account and a domain you own, GitHub, Cloudflare or your own cloud storage. You can also download the whole site.
Sign in first. On your plan a site builds up to 100 calculators; the free demo builds 3. Money, legal and health topics (pay and tax, benefits, legal and family, health, insurance, investing and prices) are your choice: tick I understand under the notice, and every page and calculator embed carries a disclaimer for the topic, with the date it was last checked and your official source link if you give one. Check the formulas and results against official sources before you publish. Searches that need official rates or tables the formula library does not hold are marked needs your formula; no rates are guessed.
PART 01

Find the demand

0 of 7 done
  1. Open Calculator SitesAt calculatorsites.ahastudio.net, or choose A whole site in Traffic Magnets, or press Start something new on your account page and choose Calculator site.
  2. Type your keyword or topicType your Keyword or topic (or tap one of the examples next to Try:, or open Find an easy calculator keyword). Pick the Google country under Where they search (type to find any of 98 markets) and the Search language where the country has more than one. When the language is not English, the form says so: the site is written in English, with Google results and search numbers for that language. Pick the Units (Feet and inches or Metric), and add a Site name if you like. Open Button on every page to set its Button text and Button link. Prefer to talk? Type or say it under Tell it in your own words at the top (for example "a concrete calculator site for the US, in feet and inches"; Try the example shows how), press Fill the form, then check the fields. No keyword in mind? Open No keyword in mind? Start from the formula library and tick topics, or Pick all for a whole category: several topics start one site from all of them.
  3. Or pick from the databasePick from the database (BETA) lists calculator families from our calculator keyword database (Semrush data, United States). Search it, filter by topic, sort by Score, Searches, KD or CPC, and press Start a site from this to fill in the keyword. Each family shows its main keyword, searches a month, the easiest and median KD, the top CPC, how many wordings it groups and our score; money, legal and health families say they are built with a disclaimer.
  4. Money, legal or health topic?A notice shows under the keyword. Read it, tick I understand (the site is not built without it), and add the Official source link if you have one: the page your figures should be checked against, linked in every disclaimer. Every page and calculator embed then carries a disclaimer for the topic.
  5. Optional: who it is for, and the voiceIf you build for clients, pick the client under For (your client profiles are under Your account, Clients): the work uses its brand colour, voice, call to action and lead notifications, and is saved under that client in Your work. If you saved personas under Your account, Personas, pick one under Persona (BETA) to write in its voice and follow its Always and Never rules for this task; left on the default, it uses the client's default persona, else yours, else your profile voice. Aha Studio's own honesty rules always apply too. Each picker shows once you have saved a client or a persona.
  6. Optional: a brand colour for this siteType or pick a colour for this site only under Brand colour under Site name: a 6-digit hex colour like #1D4ED8. Leave it empty to use your profile or client colour (the box shows that colour). A colour too light for white text is darkened so buttons stay readable. On a site already built, change it under Brand colour with the publish options and press Save colour, then publish again: the preview, the ZIP and every host use the new colour, and the live site changes when you republish.
  7. Press Find the demandWatch it work: checking the topic is one it can build honestly, reading the searches around your keyword (the card says whether the numbers come from DataForSEO or our calculator keyword database), matching each to a formula (the rest come from the formula library, labelled), and checking each calculator can win on Google (SERP Gap). Searches read, Matched to a formula and From the library count as it goes, and the calculators found show beside the steps. You can close the page and come back to the same link.
PART 02

Review and build

0 of 6 done
  1. Read the reviewFour tiles count the calculators kept, those from real searches, those from the library and their searches a month. Filter by All, From searches, From the library or Unticked, or type in Find a calculator. Each card shows a Search or Library tag, its address and its searches a month, and KD where known. Open Formula and worked example to see the formula, the inputs a visitor fills in, and a worked example computed by the calculator's own code. Different wordings of the same search are grouped, and each search number is shown once, never added up.
  2. Keep the ones you wantTick or untick each calculator (unticked ones are struck through). In the plan marks kept calculators beyond your limit. The list (your plan holds up to 100) is grouped by topic, each topic folding open and shut with n of m kept and All or None. The finished site's home page then opens with a jump list of its topics. Searches left out, and why lists what was dropped (brand names, rule-based or live-price searches, too few searches, no formula yet).
  3. Read the SERP Gap verdictsSERP Gap checked who ranks on Google for each calculator's main search. Each row shows SERP Gap: Winnable, SERP Gap: A stretch or SERP Gap: Too strong with the reason, and Show page 1 opens who ranks now, every number with its source. Too strong ones start unticked: tick one to build it anyway. Check again reruns a check that could not finish.
  4. Press Build N pagesThe button counts the pages: your calculators plus the home, Sources, About and Disclaimer pages. It writes each calculator's page, writes the home page that links them all, and checks every page. The calculators and their worked examples are code: the AI writes only the words around them, and any number it writes that the code did not supply is removed.
  5. Preview itThe bar at the top jumps to Your site, All pages, Publish and Next. Pick any page in See it before it goes live, or Full screen, or click a page under All pages. See the checks shows how many passed: formulas from the library, worked examples recomputed by code, no rule-based or live-price calculators, titles and meta descriptions within length, links between pages, schema and source links.
  6. Want more?Back to the review lets you keep other calculators, then Rebuild the site. Only the pages not written yet are written.
PART 03

Leads

Turn it onIn Leads from your calculators, tick Offer "Email me my results" on every calculator, fill in Send each lead to (up to 5 emails), optionally add up to 3 Webhooks (Zapier, Make, your CRM), and press Save. To add each lead to your email list too, open Also send to your email list (paste your autoresponder's HTML form code), paste the raw HTML form code (not the JavaScript version) and press Add form, then Test. Visitors then get their results by email, and their name, email and results come to you. Publish or deploy again so your site shows the email step. Download every lead with Download all as CSV.
Send them to your email platformConnect your email platform once under Your account, Email platforms (Kit, Mailchimp, AWeber, ActiveCampaign, GetResponse, MailerLite, beehiiv, Brevo, GoHighLevel and more). Then open Send to your email platform (Kit, Mailchimp, AWeber and more) here, pick the platform and its list, and press Save. Each new lead is added to that list; a push that failed shows Retry.
Follow up by emailEmail sequences for these leads (BETA) opens Sequences with this project picked: write the follow-up emails in your voice, then create them in your email platform, add new leads to them, or copy them.
All your leads in one placeEvery lead from every project is also in Your account, Leads: filter by AI worker, project, date or failed delivery, open a lead for every field and its delivery log (with Retry for a failed push to your email platform), set its follow-up status, add private notes, and download the filtered list as CSV.
PART 04

Keep and publish

Under Publish on your domain, pick one tile (WordPress, Netlify, Download ZIP, GitHub Pages, Cloudflare Pages, Cloud storage or Azure Blob, each Connected, Ready or Set up needed) and its panel opens below. Built it before you signed in? Sign in and press Add to my account.

  1. 1Connect your site In Publish to your WordPress site, create an application password in WordPress (Users > Profile > Application Passwords, type "Aha Studio", press Add New Application Password), paste it with your site address and username, and press Connect site.
  2. 2Choose where on the site Under one address (for example concrete-calculators, with every calculator under it) or At the top level.
  3. 3Install the free Aha Studio Connector plugin In Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin. With it, the calculators go in as a shortcode that works for every WordPress user and meta descriptions are set for you. Without it, they are embedded directly, which only an Administrator may do.
  4. 4Press Send The button shows the number of pages and your site name. Every page arrives as a draft with the links in place: review them in WordPress, then publish the home page first. Changes later go out with Publish again (updates the same pages). Pages you made yourself are never changed.
PART 05

Images

0 of 6 done

Under the preview, two cards put a picture on the home page and on any calculator page. A picture always shows in the preview, the ZIP, Netlify and WordPress (uploaded to your media library once).

  1. Use your own photosIn Your own photos, press Use my own photo on the home page hero or a calculator page, choose a PNG, JPEG or WebP (up to 8 MB, at least 600 pixels wide), write the alt text and press Upload photo. Your photo always wins its spot; Remove my photo brings back whatever was there before.
  2. Make an imageIn Make an image, press Make an image on a spot. The prompt is ready: a clean editorial photo of the subject, the site topic and country for the home page, the calculator itself for its page (a roof being measured for the roofing calculator). Type Words on the image if you want a line on it: they go into the prompt in quotes, with their place and weight, and come back rendered in the image. Pick the Size (wide fits the spot), edit the prompt or the alt text if you like, then choose a route.
  3. Make it hereMake it here makes it on your own OpenAI key, never ours: add the key under Keys and connections first. The card shows our cost estimate before you press, and the amount OpenAI reported afterwards under Usage on your account page. It comes with an Aha Studio plan.
  4. Or make it in ChatGPTOpen in ChatGPT opens the same prompt in your ChatGPT (or Copy prompt and paste it). Save the image it makes, press Upload what ChatGPT made and choose the file: it goes into the same spot, with the alt text written from the subject.
  5. Every page at onceAt the top of Make an image, Make images for all N pages makes one for every page that has no image yet, on your own OpenAI key, with the total estimate shown before you press. Up to 3 are made at a time while the page stays open; each page shows queued, making, done or failed with the reason, and Retry this page or Retry failed tries again. Stop lets the ones being made finish and skips the rest. Remake all replaces every made image and asks you to confirm first. No key? Copy all N prompts, or open each page in ChatGPT and upload what it makes.
  6. Change your mindMake another image replaces it; Remove the image clears the spot. Publish or deploy again so the live site shows the change.
PART 06

Your code, ads and visitor stats

0 of 2 done
  1. Add your own code and adsOpen Your code and ads (BETA) with the publish options. Paste Head code (analytics, a pixel, a site verification tag) and Every page code (a chat widget, a booking button, an opt-in form). Under Ads, Add AdSense auto ads takes your publisher ID, and the ads.txt box lists your ad networks. Press Save code, then publish again to put it on your live calculator site. The previews never run it. Only you, the owner, can add code.
  2. Sell ad spots and count visitorsEvery site you publish is listed under Your account, Ads and stats (BETA). Switch on Ads and Stats for a site, set up your Ad spots, make banners in the Banner maker (design one there, make an AI image on your own OpenAI key, or upload your own), and read Ad analytics and Visitor stats. A new spot goes live the next time you publish the site it shows on.
PART 07

Put it on your own domain

0 of 4 done

After deploying to Netlify, the Your own domain card puts the site on a domain you own, with HTTPS.

  1. Connect your domainOn the My domain tab, type your domain and press Connect. This adds it to your Netlify site.
  2. Add these two recordsAdd them in Cloudflare (or any DNS host), and delete any other A or AAAA records on the same names first. In Cloudflare, set each one to DNS only (grey cloud), not Proxied.
AName @, content 75.2.60.5, DNS only
CNAMEName www, content your site's netlify.app address (the card shows it with a Copy button), DNS only
  3. Press Check and secureIt checks the records and asks Netlify for the HTTPS certificate. It usually takes a few minutes once the records are visible. When it shows HTTPS: active, the sitemap, robots.txt and canonical links use your domain.
  4. Building several sites?Choose Use a subdomain of and set one domain up once with A * 75.2.60.5 and A @ 75.2.60.5, both DNS only. Every new site can then go live on its own subdomain with no DNS changes.
PART 08

PART 10

Agent-ready (experimental)

Agent-ready means AI assistants can use your calculator or form directly, the way a person would, but faster.

Why it mattersGoogle says search is becoming an "agent manager". AI agents will start doing tasks for people, like working out a quote or booking. If your calculator is agent-ready, the agent can use yours.
When to use itUse it on calculators and forms you want found and used. It's early, so it's off by default and safe to try.
What it does hereEvery calculator page gets a tool that works out the answer with the very same formula the page uses, and fills the calculator on the page so the person sees the same numbers.
What it never doesIt never submits a form, ticks a consent box or buys anything for someone. The person always checks the details and presses the button themselves.
How to turn it onOn the finished site, open Agent-ready check and turn on Make it agent-ready. Switching it on or off changes your published pages the next time you publish them. Your account default is on your account page under Profile.
Agent-ready checkLists every tool your page shows an agent: its name, what it does and the inputs it takes. For a calculator, Test the tool works out a sample with the tool and with the page and shows both answers side by side.
How it worksIt uses WebMCP, a proposed web standard that Chrome is trying out. Browsers without it ignore it, so your page looks and works exactly the same for everyone else.
